Gold Coast Bulletin
Lifestyle and quality are the key factors driving a Gold Coast couple to buy into the last new development at Emerald Lakes.
Michael Mackechnie and fiancé Nadine Aron bought a new home at The Residences, which will see them move just 50 metres from the apartment they now call home. The couple bought in Emerald Lakes’ French Quarter more than four years ago and say the community is the perfect place to live.
“We love everything about living at Emerald Lakes — location-wise you can’t beat it,” Michael says.
“Nadine and I enjoy the community feel, the walking trails, parks and gardens, and how close it is to the beach and the M1. We’ve been looking to up-size to a bigger home for some time but nothing matched the quality of our current Emerald Lakes home.
“When we heard about the launch of The Residences we knew it was the answer as it provides a quality home with views and a backyard, and of course we get to stay here.”
More than half of The Residences have already sold since their release to the market prior to Christmas.
Developer Urban Construct’s managing director Todd Brown says young couples including Michael and Nadine are typical of the buyers interested in The Residences.
“Those who want to trade up from an apartment to larger living have gravitated towards the hilltop location as it provides the best of both worlds — apartment-like living with real outdoor space,” Todd says.
“Each hilltop villa provides unmatched privacy and most have sweeping views to the Gold Coast Hinterland or Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach skylines.”
The Residences are in the master-planned Emerald Lakes community and will include 124 two and three-bedroom villas.
Villas are a mix of two and three-storey and each features a double garage, with the majority having private yards. Prices are starting from $464,900.
